Eddie Pratt is a husband, father, and grandfather. He is a licensed Pastor, Relationship Strategist, and transformational public speaker. His personal mission statement is, “Helping people live a next-level life.” He specializes in helping people establish strategies for healthy relationships with themselves and others, conflict resolution, premarital/marital counseling, as well as the prevention and/or transition from unhealthy and narcissistic relationships, and divorce.
Eddie developed a comprehensive Relationship Strategy that consists of Personal and Couples Assessments and Summaries to provide couples with specific tools to move from compatible to sustainable relationships/marriages. The Assessments and Summaries produce evidence-based graphs to identify the strengths and challenges in the following categories: Communication, Conflict Resolution, Partner Styles and Habits, Stress Profiles, Responsible Parenting Skills, Financial Management, Leisure Activities, Partner Dominance, History of Abuse and Domestic Violence, Sexual Expectations, Character Traits, Family and Friends, and Beliefs. This information provides the blueprint for counseling and navigating couples through difficult seasons of relationships and marriage, which reduce the divorce rate, domestic violence, and substance misuse. Infused in his process is anger management, healing from Adverse Childhood Experiences, relationship wounds, and negative generational patterns of thinking.
For over a decade, Eddie has been serving the community as a Pastor at the Dallas Life Foundation, the largest homeless shelter in Northern Texas, which provides sanctuary to 500 residents including families, men, and women. In addition, he holds the position of Chief Advisor for the non-profit agency Owning My Own Truth in Oakland, California, supporting survivors of various forms of abuse, and Behind The Mask Ministry in Berkeley, California.
